You might want to write about the fact that autopilot does a fine job of keeping an airplane steady but is never used to land a plane. Why?
I don't mind you correcting me. Autoland exists, and perhaps works reliably, but that doesn't explain why we don't use it all the time. If machines were safer than pilots, why do we still have pilots?
I wasn't trying to compare it to LLMs, but rather the general conflict of man versus machine. I'm a fan of people doing what we're good at, and machines doing what they're good at.
I don't know if you saw the recent news story; that "self-driving" cars came to a complete hault when the city experienced a blackout. That one is genuinely worth thinking and writing about, imo. Not so self driving, I suppose.

When I picture intelligence/counter-intelligence through the spy vs spy of Madd Magazine, it really would be funny if it wasn't so tragic that people are so easily mislead according to their own personal preferences.

Absolutely, "your own personal Jesus" as the song goes. A.I. LLM deployment on behalf of multinational corporations onto society - instead of replacing government and corporations with A.I. - was a catastrophic mistake. And they made it virtually impossible for the plebes to intervene - on purpose. The illusion, via the media machines of thought control, created the idea and planted that 'seed' of replacing the plebes with A.I. .
In reality - A.I. is the end of all the problems and unpredictability that those insecure, power drunk and paranoid structures have unleashed on civilization. Perpetual fear mongering - proverbial death is knocking on their doors. Decentralized Blockchains,
NFTokens, robotics and Distributed Autonomous Organizations are the keys to finally freeing humankind from the clutches of the corrupted minds of a so-called ruling class and will forever end them. Eternal slavery to the ancient power structures ceases to exist.
It's time to realize what is really going on and take this opportunity as intended. Now is not the time to be intimidated by the tyrannical illusionists any longer.
The real future of humanity is satisfaction and abundance - not - disappointment and scarcity.

Before dismissing the analogy of Ai becoming nuclear bomb level powerful, consider that Ai directed weapons system are real, have been deployed in Gaza, and Ukraine(?). The Oppenheimer-types of the weapons companies, worldwide, are hellbent on developing all new things-that-go-boom with Ai at the trigger. What could possibly go wrong!?! God help us all.
