You're an excellent writer and very thoughtful free thinker. I am in a very tight financial situation right now, otherwise I would pay to read your articles. Of all the many writers on Substack, you are certainly a diamond. Thanks for bringing insight and understanding to your readers. I think you should have a strong following.

I agree with many of the points and the overall thesis, but was hoping for a bit more "proof". A reasonable explanation for the staffing shortages is that ton of people left the industry (switched careers) when they were let go or furloughed at the height of the pandemic, and it was very difficult to get them back OR train new people sufficiently (staffing shortages appear to be real everywhere). I don't doubt that air travel will have more restrictions introduced from COVID new variants or even new viruses at some point, and is already being restrained by ESG goals such as the Netherlands capping the # of flights next year. But I don't see "destruction" of the industry beyond those things. In the future, if your social credit score is good, you should be able to travel :)
