Excellent! The one's trying to control all are the sociopaths who are not deemed clinically insane but whom are trying to impose insanity benchmarks they control to control others. Like "Global Warming" where the average person does not have the skills to unearth the data that is in government silos to combat this form of misdirection, using 'mental illness' as a weapon of control is in the same format. The average person is stupefied being called mentally ill or seeing an average person called such because they do not have the experience to counter such a claim. The entire trans-movement is one of trying to force norms on others counter to the historical social record. Yes indeed, lets appoint a male who adheres to the belief that men can get pregnant as head of the military and force everyone else to comply with that belief. Let's report those who did not want the COVID injections as miscreants hostile to society to DHS.
It is another leg of that trend that has seen expanding the "war on terror" to the new category of "domestic terrorists". Explain it with a benevolent view, claim it is just a few select people who are actually dangerous, and then expand the shit out of the definition. The people who are on board don't keep up with the changes, and are too busy with their lives, and just assume that you wouldn't be branded a domestic terrorist, or a mentally ill person without cause. And since one wouldn't entertain the argument of such people, you just check the box and move on.
Btw, what is this "A Lily Bit" posting, I thought this was the Schwabian Observer?? ;)
I can understand the sentiment but I believe most people are responsible for their beliefs and unwilling towards overt expression because they don't have the background to stand behind what they believe is inherently incorrect. I don't think it is apathy more like being exposed to overwhelming ridicule if they do not have the facts to backup their strong aversion of wrong action by these people. To be effective one needs to know the subject well enough to counter someone who has practiced the unbalanced argument. Not easy.
To be effective, one needs to be armed and prepared to defend oneself. One doesn't need a science degree to see that the vaxxajabs are poison. One doesn't need to "counter" anyone with arguments. The demon-rats spokesmodels are all paid propaganda pushers, so they cannot be deterred from saying nasty evil things by logic and reason. And it doesn't require a majority for people to be free. Only, as Sam Adams understood (but never wrote) a tireless minority who won't stop setting brushfires in the minds of other people.
Shaming them is a good strategy. They love to virtue signal (speak like they are very virtuous) and hate it when they are ridiculed for being immoral. Use the technique liberally.
"Be warned: it’s a slippery slope from censoring so-called illegitimate ideas to silencing truth."
I could tell you stories of silenced truth going back centuries. Here, in UK, being disappeared into a mental institution is a very old trick which is still used against dissident voices today.
So, if your post yesterday was understood, critical thinking is a bad thing and shouldn't be taught in public schools. Instead, some other forms of indoctrination, perhaps, are needed, so there isn't a vast population of disloyal Americans, but a smaller more manageable herd of loyal and compliant people. But, we should be afraid, very afraid, of giant gooferment agencies that want to suppress critical thinkers and label dissent as madness. These views seem to be at odds, Lily.
Those of us who have seen "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" or have met victims of electro shock therapy know what they want to do to those of us who won't comply, won't stop being sarcastic, aren't good little Germans. Those of us who have met victims of lobotomy - the "medical" procedure where a metal hook is pushed in through the thin bones of the orbit of the eye and used to scrape away reason and personality by repeated mutilation of the frontal lobe of the brain - know what you "former" intelligence officers and former air force officers want for mankind. You want barely continent or mildly incontinent drooling fools to herd into death camps and work to death, yes? Or, what is it that you want?
Because your treatise on how bad it is to teach critical thinking to create a mass of disloyal Americans isn't exactly consistent with this worry you seem to express that American dissenters and free thinkers are going to be juiced up with haldol and other chemicals to neuter our minds. If we can be caught, which is still the trick. Y'all did teach generations of us to value the right to keep and bear arms, and there are arguably more than a billion guns, mostly unregistered, in private hands in this country.
It's also an interesting manpower question. There were only 66 million Americans who refused to file income tax papers back in 1998, there are now over 120 million. You don't have 10 million prison guards and you don't have 120 million prison cells. So the brutal tactics of the IRS will continue until morale improves.
Why don't you just stop trying to run everybody's lives? Or is that possibility unavailable to the minds that have been corrupted by Mordor on the Potomac?

Love the callout on 1984! I actually did an analysis on both 1984 and Brave New World! Huxley was right that his book would be the more accurate one (since he had an insight into the future)

We have the numbers and the power. But we also have too many sheeple and too much apathy.

Good point. Add to my 2.

There is nothing new about these abuses.
