You are an incredible lady Lily and what comes out of this latest piece is your unquestionable love for humanity and your fellow woman and man. I cannot think of many other commentator that offer such fantastic value for subscription money and it is a pleasure to support your work. Thank you.
Thank you for another excellent overview of our predicament and the outline of steps we can follow to extricate ourselves. Easy it ain’t but nothing worth having is.
Outstanding essay, one that is particularly congruent with Lyn Alden’s book Broken Money. Thank you!
While I completely agree with the principles (and practices) outlined in the concluding paragraphs, my own personal eschatological perspective leads me to conclude that, in the short term, a less than ideal path lies ahead…
But.
We should do what we can in the meantime, until creation is restored to its rightful order, by its rightful Owner.
Wow! You have articulated my thoughts for me in a way I never could have. I'm going to share this everywhere, and I urge others to do the same. I shall recommend people put it in their 'essential reading' box.
One question though, I thought that the DeGaulle had been cashing in dollars for gold since the mid 60s, due to Vietnam, and other US actions. Meanwhile, in 1971, it seems unclear as to whether the French warship did remove some bullion for dollars or not.
You're correct, and so is your skepticism. The actual record is more interesting than the article's compressed version. The de Gaulle conversion campaign began in early 1965, not in 1971. Charles de Gaulle gave his famous Élysée Palace press conference on 4 February 1965 calling for a return to the gold standard, and the French Treasury had already begun aggressively converting dollars into gold under Operation "Vide-Gousset" starting in 1963. Over the three years from 1963 to 1966, France repatriated roughly 3,313 tonnes of gold from the New York Federal Reserve and the Bank of England, in 44 boat trips and 129 flights. The 1971 ship was a different event, and the sourcing on it is genuinely murkier. The Nixon Shock Wikipedia article says French president Georges Pompidou (de Gaulle had died in November 1970) "sent a ship to New York City to retrieve French gold deposits" in early August 1971, and Britain requested a $3 billion gold transfer at Fort Knox on 11 August. whether the French ship actually loaded any bullion before Nixon closed the gold window on 15 August is less clear; some accounts treat the dispatch itself as the trigger, others suggest it was symbolic or pre-emptive. A HuffPost article (make of it what you will) says the warship was sent "with instructions to bring back its gold" but doesn't confirm it left with any. So, I agree. I conflated de Gaulle's 1965 program with a 1971 ship and put de Gaulle at the wheel of the latter, which compressed six years and substituted the wrong French head of state. The structural point — that foreign demand for physical gold was draining US reserves through the 1960s and forced Nixon's hand in 1971 — survives, but the dramatic anecdote needs fixing.
Paraphrasing Stafford Beer, who ironically (or not) was a Brit.
So this was a good follow up to your previous missive. For me, it partially answered the question regarding your prior assertion that we have a decade. Still, while you address some things we can do to throw sand in the gears, the question of the timing of the end game remains elusive.
At age 70 a decade takes on a different meaning than it did when I was 40. For all the obvious reasons. And some that aren’t so obvious and can only be understood when one gets there.
If I had it my way, the development of the 8 acre family plot that we own in the northern rural area of a Midwest state would begin tomorrow. But our kids have their lives, and their jobs, and their friends and spouses. They aren’t ready, they may never be ready. And we can’t do it ourselves. Hence, the ‘why’ portion of your idea that we have a decade is still missing from the proposal that we presented to our kids 15 years ago, before we exited the rat race and went sailing.
So for now, we will continue to live on our sailboat (by itself a certain form of rebellion) and pray that the kids wake up in time to get to work.
Many Blessings to you from the crew on S/V Blessings.

The beginning of this article you alluded to the fact that things aren’t broken, but are working just the way they were designed, couldn’t have been more accurate. People like to scream into the void that is social media, that the system is broken and needs to be torn down and rebuilt. While this may be true, it is never going to happen. The powers behind this have been building and adapting this system for over a century.
It would seem that when the masses get to stirred up, something must be done to get them back into line. Enter Hantavirus lol. Perhaps alien invasion as well.
Well written Lily, even though it is bleak, humanity will push forward through this fourth turning just as the last. What is on the other side will depend upon the will of the people.
This is an incredible summary of WTF is Going on today -- concise, yet broad, thorough. This has taken my whole long life to try to understand this evil system and you summarize it in a simple clear way. It is the BEST. Thank you.
The question is Lily: what can we do to defeat this evil system?
From space, NASA satellites have captured rare swirling cloud formations over Antarctica natural patterns that reveal how wind and climate systems behave in some of the planet’s most extreme environments.
But beneath this scientific beauty lies a growing warning.
Antarctica is changing.
Tourism is increasing. Ecosystems are under pressure. And fragile environments are being exposed to risks they were never built to handle.
Scientists are now warning that parts of West Antarctica may be approaching irreversible change, with ice loss accelerating in ways that could reshape global sea levels for generations.
At the same time, wildlife is struggling to adapt. Emperor penguin populations are being disrupted as sea ice continues to shrink breaking the rhythm of life that has existed for thousands of years.
Even human activity in the region is carrying consequences, as seen in health and environmental concerns linked to expedition travel routes.
What is unfolding is not a distant issue.
It is a connected system: Atmosphere, ice, oceans, and life all responding together.
Antarctica is no longer separate from the world.
It is a mirror of it.
And what happens there will eventually reach everywhere.
There are two realms in this world, most folks operate from the realm of the dead and are completely unaware. Those that control the realm of the dead are parasites, but for the realm of the living their fraudulent existence implodes.
And so there is an apparent constant in-balance and shift between this dual reality. From a certain perspective the system is perfect, for the purpose of distillation. In other words we are each given the opportunity to extract our energy from the system and evolve. But the truth is the traps are always there !
Anyone that claims to be a citizen is completely trapped. A citizen is a legal entity that isn’t our property.

I think that's spot-on down to almost the last detail (I'd have included brief mention of the Kissinger Petrodollar capture/murder of Saudi royals?).
Now we'll see the rise of the East and the trivialisation of the EU & UK through sovereign debt crises - sooner rather than later me thinks(?).
Very well-written too.
Marvelous, simply marvelous.
Soon checkpoints will be set up to keep people in their cities and the countryside will continue to produce the fuel, products and food.
It's the Hunger Games!!
Very through Lill. Not sure you could have explained much better with a long book. I hope you wake more than I think you will.
A system is what a system does.

I wonder if Larry Fink takes orders from his own Alladin AI?
