FISA is the Patriot Act on steroids. To refresh people’s memory, the Patriot Act was introduced in the days following 9/11 but it was drafted *before* 9/11. Read that again.
If they actually cared about national security, they would at least put forth a little effort in securing the southern border. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.
For me the most annoying part isn't the overreach itself, but rather how normalized it's become.
What would have been unthinkable years ago is all but public knowledge. I understand people have more pressing concerns these days, but it would be great to see more seriousness on addressing these issues.

It is important to remember that this was bipartisan. Our so called democracy has, for a long time, been a choice between two very similar options, the Republicans aren't going to save us, and the Democrats aren't going to bring corporate America to heel.
There is and will be no plan to fix or change anything, because the plan has always been to Destroy everything. 9/11 was the pull of the trigger on the west
As compromised slaves to the deep state, "lawmakers" inevitably voted for continued spying on Americans. They couldn't do otherwise. The only way they could have declined to so vote would have been to put their careers, their lives and their families' well being at risk. I don't think we truly understand the depth of the corruption in this country.
