I love your essays. I recently read Operation Snow, a book about the US’s knowledge in advance of Pearl Harbor. Put together with Sec Austin’s comments about sending our troops to fight Russia if we stop funding Ukraine is all very disheartening. How many wars have we fought where we had no legitimate concerns? Eisenhower was clearly correct in his warning about the military industrial complex (add intelligence also).

If people only knew how many of the world's ills can be laid at the feet of central bankers . . . It continues to amaze me that they could accumulate so much wealth and power, right under our noses, and to wield that power to destroy the world, and that so few people understand what is happening and who is orchestrating it all.

Interesting! Thanks. That part about the Japanese bank was new to me, but consonant with the larger picture.

I have know about most of this for some time, but the media downplays this version of event at every turn. Much as I have little respect or care for the Empire of Japan and its heinous methods and aggressive imperialism, it is clear to me Pearl Harbor was essentially a staged event. Some still call this a conspiracy theory..... ah well.

Damn, once again I see that bankers are behind most conflicts, ready to pad their pockets and dance on the corpses. Ghouls, every one of them. Excellent report; didn't realize they were economically sanctioning countries before WWII. I wonder how many folks still see sanctions against BRICS countries as a stand for "democracy"?

As long as there are people who firmly believe that Ukraine is "defending our freedom," it may be a bit megalomaniacal to try to help them understand anything related to BRICS.

Great essay. I knew some of the story. That circumstances were created to put the squeeze on Japan. I wasn't aware of the banking angle and some of the others. Thanks for filling in the details.

Imperial Japan was a fascist empire, guilty of some of humanity's worst atrocities. Japanese troops butchered civilians, engaged in mass rapes of women, and stabbed babies with their bayonets. Then, the Japanese launched an unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor. Not sure why this article claims that Roosevelt "manipulated" America into the war, given the crimes of Japan. But still, very interesting and well-written article!
