“Confusion Generators”… social media described to a tee! It was amusing to see the maga folks and their confusion when the photos of the presidential dinner with Gates and Zuckerberg seated next to the commander in chief. They still haven’t figured out that they are watching the latest episode of The Apprentice. The show must go on lol.

Great job as always Lily

“You police each other more effectively than they ever could.”

Cancel and consequence culture only benefits the powerful. No need for censorship when we, ourselves, punish fellow citizens for what they say. And many others then censor themselves not wanting to get cancelled.

Bang on the money Lily! Should you happen to end up in my neck of the woods after we have all had to abandon the internet you would be more than welcome in my local, de-centralised, off-grid, resistance community. In the meantime, I look forward to your next laser-focussed article.

This is as good a summary as I have seen. Politics is used to sell the phony left/right division that promotes useless chatter and perpetuates the system. The real scale has liberty at one end and tyranny at the other. Most people tolerate a gradual reduction in their liberties and won't wake up until it is too late---frequently ceding small reductions in personal freedom as "trade-offs" for illusory benefits often said to be in the "greater good". I also have serious objections to the term "populism". What are the core principles of this so-called philosophy? The answers are usually vague and ultimately come down to something like a pure democracy which is simply another form of tyranny.

The problem is that people are too cowardly to accept real solutions.

A new constitution and new currency. These solutions get laughed at by the zombies, who just want the same thing, regardless of how bad it is.

They laughed at Bitcoin as a new global currency. But a new, decentralizied, economic system is the only way that tax payer money isn't siphoned into surveillance, defense, woke universities, etc.

This is a great piece of work Lily! I was reading another substack a couple of days ago that focused on this very subject about epistemic capture and epistemic bubbles. Although it address's the "controllers" POV quite well, I think the problem goes even deeper into the ontological realm. The attack on the Lagos (The Word) to literally re-define everything of substance in an ever elastic atmospheric in an ever increasingly controlled environment. Through indefinite coercive detentions leading to Stockholm syndrome, they do accomplish Joost Meerloo's "Rape of the Mind". You might enjoy that read from the "Lies are Unbecoming" substack, and I'll leave the link for your review of "Epistemic Capture" for your review at your leisure.

I really like this a lot. I can’t but help imagine the character Reagen Ridley from the animated series ‘inside job’ narrating it.
