Canada is following the same path. It's notable that the legislation is supposedly about "promoting Canadian content" and "controlling disinformation", but is actual censorship which is a not a legitimate function of the federal government. By comparison; preventing scams committed through telecommunications or through the post is a legitimate area of federal responsibility, but one which the current government is unconcerned about.
Just call it what it is. Communism, surveillance, tyranny, installation of a social credit score, etc.

Well, I woke up this morning reading that the Home Secretary is out. But I have no doubt that this legislation will keep on its course.
